Dharavi Rocks' with a Drumming Workshop by our Drummers The aspiring drummers of Delhi Public School, Nashik were fortunate to conduct a workshop for the band ‘Dharavi Rocks’ of Mumbai. DPS conducted this workshop in collaboration with the Acron Foundation which works for the welfare of slum children and waste collectors. This was an educational project wherein 10 drummers of Delhi Public school, Nashik between the age group of 9 to 15 years along with Mr Vinesh Nair - Drummer Coach got a chance to showcase their talent and teach minute skills required to play the drums to the ‘Dharavi Rocks’ band children. The band comprised of students between the age group of 7 to 22 years. A beautiful practice room has been created in Dharavi for the children. The organisers, especially, the founder was super elated with the display of talent by our students and appreciated them for their mentoring skills. They are waiting for more such sessions in the future with Delhi Public School, Nashik. This will upgrade and improve the budding talent of the children from Dharavi under the mentorship of Dipsites. With strong-willed support and faith, such events culminate into a positive step for the growth of students. #DPSNashik #dharavirocks #mumbai #slum #music #learning #students #drums #rhythmteacher

Trained researchers specialized in different numismatic periods delivered a brief account of the artifacts used in the early medieval, medieval and late medieval period to the students. This information helped the students to understand the sources of learning and studying history. The museum showcases a large number of coins, bronze statues, terracotta pots, ancient jewellery etc. It also includes three models which demonstrate the evolution of Mint from manual to mechanical.
